With her exhibition at the Small Gallery, Metka Krašovec, a formally trained painter, demonstrated that she was one of the best younger-generation artists. She enhanced the impressive aesthetic level of her images with some avant-garde elements, in particular by exploring light effects. What made this course possible was her remarkable mastery of painting techniques. In her paintings, Krašovec builds an interesting vision of the contemporary world, using symbols of everyday objectivity. In the early 1970s she was a vigorous companion of the main art movements of the younger generation.
